Girl...
if you've been building your business while working a full-
time job...
you've probably had that moment.
You know the one.
You're sitting at your desk thinking,
"I could be working on MY business instead of this."
And then the next thought hits.

I've talked to women on both sides of this decision.
Some quit too early.
Others stay far too long.
And girl...
both can be expensive.
Sometimes your business starts making good money.
Maybe you've had a few great months.
Clients are coming in.
You're feeling confident.
Then frustration with your job starts making the decision for you.
You think:
"If I just had more time, my business would take off."
Maybe.
But maybe not.
Because frustration isn't a financial plan.
I've also seen women with businesses that are consistently
profitable...
steady clients...
healthy cash flow...
money in the bank...
And they're still hanging on to a job they don't even want
anymore.
Not because the business isn't ready.
Because they're scared.
Scared the income will disappear.
Scared they'll make the wrong decision.
Scared they'll regret it.
Girl...
fear can keep you stuck just as easily as impatience can push you too fast.
The goal is to quit when your business can
actually support the life you're trying to build.
Those are two very different things.
Let's say your household needs about:
$6,000 a month to cover:
- your mortgage or rent
- groceries
- insurance
- utilities
- debt payments
- everything else life throws at you
Now let's say your business has made:
$9,500
$10,200
$9,800
$10,100
...for the last several months.
That's a very different conversation than having one
incredible month followed by two slow ones.
Because consistency matters.
It should consistently produce enough money to:
- pay you
- cover business expenses
- set aside money for taxes
- handle slower months
- continue growing
Sis...
that's what you're replacing.
Not just your paycheck.
You're replacing the financial stability that paycheck provides.
When you're employed...
someone else pays part of your payroll taxes.
Someone else may provide health insurance.
Someone else deposits money into your account every payday.
When you become self-employed full time...
those responsibilities become yours.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.
It just means you should plan for it.
Ask yourself:
Can my business consistently cover my household expenses?
Can I pay myself a reliable paycheck instead of taking money whenever it's available?
Have I planned for self-employment taxes?
Do I have an emergency fund if business slows down for a month or two?
Can my business continue operating without me worrying every time a client pays late?
And the biggest question of all...
Girl...
that's the question that changes everything.
Because leaving a job out of frustration feels good for a moment.
Leaving because you've built a business that's ready to carry you?
That's freedom.
There will always be some uncertainty.
That's entrepreneurship.
But there is a difference between taking a calculated risk...
and taking a blind leap.
Your financials help you tell the difference.
That doesn't mean you've failed.
It doesn't mean you're not meant to be a full-time entrepreneur.
It just means your next milestone isn't quitting your job.
Because girl...
the goal isn't to escape your 9-to-5.
The goal is to build a business that's strong enough to replace
it without sacrificing your peace of mind. And that's a
decision your numbers not your emotions should help you make.
