Girl...
if you've been dreaming about moving overseas, chances are you've
asked yourself:
And for real?
I get why you're asking.
Because you've already:
- built the business
- opened the accounts
- set everything up
- figured out the paperwork
The last thing you want to hear is:
"Actually... everything needs to change."

Maybe.
Maybe not.
Because moving overseas doesn't automatically mean your LLC
disappears.
But it also doesn't automatically mean nothing changes.
They assume:
"My LLC is in the United States, so moving doesn't affect anything."
Sis...
the LLC may stay in the U.S.
But YOU are the owner.
And when the owner moves?
New questions start showing up.
Someone spends months researching:
- visas
- housing
- healthcare
- flights
And spends almost no time researching what happens to their business.
Then after they relocate they're suddenly asking:
- Do I still file U.S. taxes?
- Does my LLC still work the same way?
- Do I owe taxes where I moved?
- Should I have restructured before leaving?
Girl.
Not after questions.
Moving overseas does NOT automatically mean:
- closing your LLC
- dissolving your company
- creating a foreign corporation
- starting over
For many business owners?
Their LLC continues operating.
Clients continue paying.
Revenue continues coming in.
Business continues running.
Because the business structure that made sense while living in the U.S.
may not be the structure that makes the most sense after you move.
Let's say:
Your LLC earns:
$130,000
You move overseas assuming everything stays exactly the same.
A year later you're discovering:
- additional reporting requirements
- new tax obligations
- residency issues
- filing requirements you didn't know existed
Now you're trying to fix things after the fact.
Girl...
that's not strategy.
That's cleanup.
Because most women entrepreneurs aren't actually asking:
"Can I keep my LLC?"
They're asking:
And honestly?
Sometimes yes.
Sometimes the answer is:
"We need to evaluate whether your current
structure still supports your
goals."
Because your goals matter.
A lot.
A business owner making:
$40,000
May need a very different conversation than someone making:
$250,000
A freelancer may need a different
conversation than someone with:
- employees
- contractors
- an S Corp election
- multiple revenue streams
Girl...
there is no one-size-fits-all answer here.
Because somebody else's setup is not your setup.
Somebody else's country is not your country.
Somebody else's tax situation is not your tax situation.
The question isn't:
"Can I keep my LLC?"
The better question is:
Those are very different conversations.
Know:
- how your business is currently structured
- what your actual profit is
- where you plan to live
- what your long-term goals are
- whether your current setup supports those goals
Simple.
But important.
Not the start of a tax surprise.
You can keep assuming your LLC will work exactly the same...
OR
And girl...
that second option is usually a lot cheaper than finding out after you've already moved.
